This organic traditional method brut-nature Cava is a refreshing bone-dry sparkling wine made from 50% Xarel-lo, 25% Macabeo and 25% Parellada hailing from the slopes of Espiells, Catalonia. Made from fruit from old vines grown following biodynamic practices (planted between 1958-1990) and matured on lees for at least 24 months, giving it a well-defined mouthfeel and great complexity. Crisp acidity combines with aromas of apple, complemented with soft mineral nuances.

Orders placed before 1pm each day Monday – Friday will be despatched the same day as long as the stock is in immediate availability. For some items, we may need to get stock from our stores which could delay despatch by 1 day (2 days in some situations)
Items in stock will be despatched on the same day and delivered via courier. This will usually be delivered on the following working day but please allow one extra day if this is not possible. Deliveries to Scotland & non UK mainland will usually be delivered in 2-3 working days.
We charge a flat fee of £6.90 for delivery if your order is under 20kg and £10 inc-VAT if the order is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £100 (inc VAT).
We aim to ship items within the same working day but always within 2 working days, subject to the order being placed before 1pm and subject to the availability of stock. *If stock is not available at our warehouse and needs to come back from one of our stores before we ship to you, your order may take up to 5 working days to be shipped – whether that is to your delivery address or to one of our stores.

The collaboration between four families with deep roots in winemaking in the region, wine has been produced on the estates since at least 1488. The location of the winery in Can Llopart de les Alzines on the hills of Espielles in El Pendes has been there since 1499, with the estate today carrying five generations of tradition, culture and expertise. It was not until 1980 that the project of Vins El Cep was conceived when the Carreras, Esteve, Masana and Parera families, all of whom had generations of agricultural experience in the region, decided to take the step to go beyond just friends and neighbours to embark on a journey to create Cavas that display the exceptional terroir of the land.
At the centre of their project was a deep respect for the local environment and the traditions of the region, with the winery attaining organic certification in 2001. In 2003, they began conversion to biodynamic practices and released their first wines under these principles in 2006. The fruit for this Cava comes from old vines from three properties of Can Miquel de les Planes, Can Prats and Sant Llorenç d’Hortons, planted between 1958 and 1990. The vines are head and wire trained and planted at a medium density of 3,600 vines per hectare, striking the perfect balance between yield and grape quality. The terroir of the estates is characterised by moderately deep soils with porous flint and limestone subsoils providing the wine with its distinctive mineral character.
Made from 50% Xarel-lo, 25% Macabeo, 25% Parellada, with the grapes being manually harvested, this premium Cava is produced with low-pressure pressing utilising 50% extraction of the free run juice. The must is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature before undergoing a minimum of 24 months ageing on the lees prior to bottling. With only 0.5g/l residual sugar, this Brut Nature Cava epitomises the purist Cava philosophy.
