Bordeaux wines

Bordeaux wines are some of the most famous and highly-regarded wines in the world. They are produced in the diverse Bordeaux region of southwestern France, where the climate and soil are ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc for reds and Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle for whites. Bordeaux wines are typically classified into one of five categories, known as the Bordeaux classifications, based on their quality and price. Some of the most famous Bordeaux wines include Château Margaux, Château Latour, and Château Lafite-Rothschild. Alongside these, there are also plenty of unsung heroes that offer fantastic value, and all points in between. Stylistically, the reds provide an excellent choice from full-bodied, complex and elegant to lighter-bodied fresher styles. The whites are fresh and aromatic yet mineral and complex and offer some fantastic value for the complexity and richness they display.
