Malt whiskies from the US
American single malt is made entirely of malted barley and can be aged in new oak casks, used oak barrels, occasionally ex-Bourbon barrels, occasionally different containers altogether, or ex-Bourbon barrels. The majority of Bourbon is made in Kentucky, where it is also a well-liked spirit in the South.
