Blended Scotch whiskies
Whisky is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grains. Blended scotch is a type of whisky that is made by blending different single malt whiskies together. The flavour of blended scotch is typically lighter and more approachable than that of single malt whisky. The word “whisky” is derived from the Gaelic word “uisge”, meaning “water of life”. Whisky is also sometimes referred to as “Scotch”, though this is properly used only for whisky made in Scotland.
