Mas Cristine and Tramontane Roussillon wines

15 years ago, Englishman Andy Cook moved to the Mediterranean French town of Collioure, a few miles north of the Spanish border, attracted by the combination of sun, sea and affordable, old vines. With his two French partners, he makes the wines of the Tramontane brand, which we've supported for several years. Now, having purchased and renovated the run-down Mas Cristine estate, Andy is also producing wines under the Mas Cristine label. These are crafted from ancient, low-yielding vineyards, planted on steep schist soils, and the wines have established a great reputation in France. The estate is at the Southern edge of the Côtes du Roussillon appellation and today has magnificent holdings of Syrah, Grenache, Roussanne, Marsanne and Muscat. Viticulture is low intervention and now moving towards fully organic.

We are delighted to present both the elegant Mas Cristine Blanc and Rouge, fashioned from selections of the estate's old red and white grape varieties. We also have the estate's fortified Rivesaltes Ambré that is oxidatively matured for 5 years, for a mellow, sweet style, as well as the approachable wines of Tramontane, bottled as IGP Côtes Catalanes.
