Cabernet Sauvignon wines

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most popular red wine grapes in the world. It is known for its full-bodied flavour, high tannins, and ageing potential. The grape is grown in many wine regions around the world, including Bordeaux, California, and Australia. Cabernet Sauvignon is often blended with other grapes, such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc, to create complex and balanced wines. The grape is also used in the production of dessert wines, such as Port. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are small, thick-skinned, and have a high concentration of flavour compounds. They are typically harvested in the fall and require warm temperatures and plenty of sunlight to fully ripen. Wines made with Cabernet Sauvignon, including Bordeaux blends up to Cru Classé and New World examples like Napa Valley. Cabernet Sauvignon is a natural cross variety, a combination of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc from Bordeaux, France.
